MP Scientific and Technical Ltd. was founded by Matt Pope in 2018 following an 18 year career at Applied Photophysics. During that time, Matt worked as an Applications Scientist involved with the SX and PiStar stopped-flow instruments and later spent 14 years as Support Manager. Prior to this, Matt used Applied Photophysics equipment during his PhD research.
Matt's knowledge of the instrument range is extensive. He has personally installed and serviced hundreds of Chirascan circular dichroism, SX-model stopped-flows and PiStar CD-stopped-flow instruments in over 40 countries worldwide. During his time as Support Manager, Matt was instrumental in developing the preventative maintenance (PM) servicing routines that are still used on the Chirascan and SX20 today.
MP Scientific and Technical was established to provide an independent service and support solution for Applied Photophysics stopped-flow and CD spectrometers with a particular focus on cost reduction. With his extensive knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm, Matt offers a comprehensive range of service options designed to meet the specific needs of every budget-conscious laboratory.
